PS5 Digital Edition: compare the model, not just the price

There are listings with almost identical titles, yet the seller, the region, the model number and what's in the box can all differ. This selection starts from the interest we see on Quventify; we do not claim to have tested these products in person. Console listings marked out of stock are not shown as available purchases.

Digital or with discs

The Digital Edition downloads games from the PlayStation Store. Sony states that current compatible models can be expanded with a disc drive sold separately.

Model number

The official disc drive is only compatible with the CFI-2000 and CFI-7000 groups. Confirm this on the listing before assuming you'll be able to add one.

Room for games

The official page distinguishes the 1 TB disc PS5 from the 825 GB Digital Edition. It also supports compatible M.2 SSDs from 250 GB to 8 TB with a heatsink.

Complete the setup without buying twice

The final price, exactly what's in the box, the warranty, the seller and availability must all be confirmed at the source shop before buying. An accessory card is not a console.

A second controller

It has the strongest buying signal among the PS5 accessories in the catalogue. Useful for local multiplayer or as a spare pad.

The listing states DualSense compatibility and an included adapter. Check that the bundle and the plug match your region.
